The course is divided into three main modules: Engineering Innovation, Industry 4.0 and Sustainable Development.
Initially, we will address the main concepts and motivations about innovation and the importance of computer simulation in this process. We will also present examples of success in engineering product development and the ideal tools to innovate. In addition, the main physics that are represented through numerical analysis, which are crucial in the art of engineering innovation, will be explained.
Industry 4.0 module will address the main technical issues inherent to the evolution of national industry for the coming years with an emphasis on the impacts that these technologies will bring to companies, engineers and society. Themes such as 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), additive manufacturing, augmented reality and smart cities will be present in this module. Finally, we will demonstrate how these themes are already being addressed around the world, using simulation software to promote these disruptive technologies.
Finally, in the Sustainable Development module, we will present market aspects relating to the world's energy and electrical matrices. In addition, we will bring discussions about the reasons why this subject is increasingly present in energy auctions and the development of new technologies in engineering. Furthermore, we will show possibilities for the use of the digital prototype at different levels in the various sectors that cover this area, in addition to pointing out the benefits for each of them.

This course aims to bring engineers closer to the continuous process of innovation and to demonstrate the state of the art in engineering innovation through the main and most modern working tools.
Industry professionals, students or academic professors interested in starting or improving their knowledge in modern innovation techniques for the creation and improvement of real projects in the most diverse areas of engineering.
There are no requirements for this training.
The contents are previously prepared and available (timeless) weekly. You are free to choose the most appropriate time of your week to study. To ensure the effectiveness of learning, live interactive meetings will be held weekly for each module. Portuguese Course – Wednesdays at 6pm (Brazil Time Zone) and Spanish Course at Saturdays at 12 pm (Brazil Time Zone).
If the participant wants to start using computer simulation in practice, we suggest the free educational license, which is part of the Ansys package. The download and installation can be done at any time directly from the Ansys website. The use of this license for commercial purposes is prohibited. If a student violates the rules of copyright ownership of Ansys Inc. by using unofficial versions, penalities provided by law may be incurred
All questions related to the topics covered on the course can be sent through the course´s forum. In this collaborative environment, participants will be able to create topics on the contents presented and initiate discussions enriching the knowledge acquired. In addition, topics discussed in the forum will be brought to discuss in the interactive classes.
