ANSYS FLUENT - Using UDFs (User-Defined Functions)

UDF (User Defined Function) is a function or set of user-programmed C-language functions and connected to ANSYS FLUENT to perform a wide variety of operations. The use of UDFs allows the user to customize the boundary conditions and parallel processing, to add new physical models, among other operations. This training is suitable for ANSYS FLUENT users who wish to learn how to include UDFs in their analyzes.

METHODOLOGY:

Face-to-face intensive training with ESSS specialists.


PROGRAM:

  • Introduction to UDFs and how they work in conjunction with the FLUENT code;
  • Introduction to C programming;
  • FLUENT data structure and macros;
  • UDFs compiled versus interpreted;
  • UDFs for discrete phase models;
  • UDFs for multiphase flows;
  • UDFs for parallel processing;
  • Practical examples of UDFs.
All topics are accompanied by workshops.
