Remote Operations Simulator

Project Remote Operations Simulator

Flow simulator involved in descaling and acidification operations.

Saline scales are an undesirable by-product of secondary water injection recovery. Injection and formation waters are often chemically incompatible, and as a consequence their mixing can cause saline precipitation in the reservoir, the well-formation interface, and surface and subsurface equipment. Some of these fouling, such as barium sulfate, are quite insoluble, and cause significant production losses.

The purpose of the Remote Operations 1.0 software is to simulate the circulation of fluids involved in descaling and acidification operations by obtaining the estimate of maximum surface pressures during the pumping of a given volume of fluid at a given flow and considering the well geometry.

The descaling and acidification operations consist of works of extreme importance for the recovery phase in oil wells and have a great impact on the productivity of the well.
